In de afgelopen jaren is er toenemende aandacht voor risicostratificatie. Een in Nederland ontwikkeld en gevalideerd risicoscore is de (pre-)HEART score. De (pre-) HEART score blijkt een eenvoudig en betrouwbaar hulpmiddel te zijn die te gebruiken is bij alle patiënten met pijn op de borst. Doordat de (pre-)HEART score nog niet volledig toepasbaar en gevalideerd is in de ambulancezorg, heeft de protocollencommissie de score nog niet opgenomen in dit LPA.
